The experience at L'Hortet de Vallparadís was amazing, and Albert is an incredibly welcoming host. During our stay we learned about harvesting and production methods for a community farm. We also learned about how to forage for different herbs and fruits in the mountains. The farm itself is located in a great location in the middle of Terrassa with easy access to the city center as well as public transportation to surrounding areas. Albert is a very nice and fantastic host who taught us a lot about the Catalan culture. We had a great time and would love to stay here again (with Theos the cat) in the future!!

I had such a fun time at Can Picard. Although my stay was short, Martin is full of ideas and works with you to find what you would enjoy. He gave ideas to incorporate my profession in health care with some new scientific and technological based ideas. I enjoyed working with the schools when they came and helping in hosting events for the community. If you want to see ideas on how people are making a change for our world, this is a great place for inspiration.

I had the best time at La Donaira! I worked alongside Janine in the kitchen, with Maria in the garden and with maintenance and at the horse stables with fellow volunteers. The work was generally very manageable. Being part of a warm and friendly community was so lovely, and I got to meet and become friends with volunteers from all over the world, who became family. A special shoutout to little Luna for bringing happiness to everyone's day! My favourite was cooking and enjoying meals all together and playing many rounds of cards. El Nido is tranquil and I definitely felt like I have time to reflect and rest. The farm is beautiful, and I spent a lot of time walking and exploring. Over weekends, we were able to do our own thing, and visited nearby cities like Malaga, Seville and Marbella. I felt very much at home, and I will miss La Donaira and its people very dearly. Until next time! Amor y risas <33

My stay at Casa Jaumet was a really good experience. From the first moment I felt like a part of the family. It was interesting to harvest olives and learn about olive oil and honey production. The family was welcoming and very patient with my beginner Spanish : ) I loved spending time with the animals (Kai the dog and the cats) as well. The cottage is a really beautiful place. It is situated in the mountains and near to a lake, which provides great opportunities for walks in your free time.

Herminia is very warm, attentive and took really good care of me during the week. I was able to follow the process from harvesting the olives to producing the finished olive oil, and I was introduced to Spanish culture in general, as Herminia took me everywhere with her. It was an incomparably enriching experience for me, and I am very grateful for my stay in the sweet little mountain village at Herminia's home.

It was a really nice time at Cal ermita and also a pretty good start for my journey trough spain. The work was well structured in 5 h per day and on the rest of the day it was nice to sit in the garden or walk around trough the beautiful forest nearby. I learned a lot about the catalan culture and felt very welcomed in the family. Thank you very much!

Volunteering on the mushroom farm was an absolutely wonderful experience! 🌿 I learned so much during my stay — from how mushrooms are cultivated to the daily rhythm of life on the farm. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel right at home from the very first day. Ania is an amazing cook — every meal she prepared was delicious and full of flavor, always made with care and love. Diedrik is a great teacher; he explains everything clearly and with patience, so even if you’ve never worked on a farm before, you’ll quickly feel confident and capable. And of course, I can’t forget Thor, their adorable dog — he’s the sweetest. I’m really grateful for the time I spent there, and I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn and meet genuinely kind people. Thank you, Ania and Diedrik! 🍄✨
