My month at Mu de Munay was amazing! Gerard and Maca are incredible people who made me feel at home from day one. The farm is beautiful and peaceful, with many trails nearby. Thaya, the dog, loves going on hikes and is a wonderful companion. Working with Gerard, I learned a lot — especially about syntropy, bioconstruction, and plant care. The learning felt very hands-on. I completely recommend Mu de Munay to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer experience. I hope to come back someday!

I had a wonderful experience at Son Felip! I want to thank everyone for welcoming me and making my stay so special. Special thank you to Albert, with whom I shared the house! My tasks included planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting vegetables. We also spent days preparing the land for new bancals, which involved aerating, removing the weeds, and adding compost. We planted some seeds in smaller pots and transferred some pots to the garden. We had rucola and rhubarb seeds, the latter being a childhood favorite. I also harvested potatoes, picked oranges, and helped prepare them for delivery to the store. I spent some time with herbs and medicinal plants, and learnt about their purposes. I spent one day at the workshop for beekeeping with Xec, sadly we couldn’t open the hives that day due to the full moon. I didn’t know beforehand that bees are so affected by the lunar cycle! During my stay, I encountered horses, donkeys, hens, goats, and other animals. The house I shared with Albert was about a 30-minute bike ride from the garden, so I got in a good workout every day. The surroundings are gorgeous, and you see some of the buildings on the plot, as well as some donkeys roaming around. As the house I stayed in is heated by fireplaces, and since evenings are cool, I had to figure out how to light a fire properly. After many tries (and some smoke), I finally got the hang of it! Thank you again for this unforgettable experience! Big hugs, Miranda

I absolutely loved loved this experience and im so grateful for Shady and Kim to have welcomed me in with open arms! A cute farm with lots of animals and different tasks, definitely a remote lifestyle and is meant more for those who are outdoorsy and don’t care for city life luxuries. You gotta be open to different beliefs, Kim and Shady share their lives with you and it comes with having interesting conversations in a tiny shared place. Don’t come if you’re close minded or get easily offended, conversations can be productive but sometimes you just gotta accept the differences and keep it moving! They are both so caring and after a month here I can’t wait to make it back :)

El Alboroque is a wonderful place. Belen is a fantastic and extremely generous hostess, and the whole family is very friendly. The lovely and cosy house, surrounded by pine trees, is located just outside the town, but you can cycle into town or to the beach. The area is really beautiful and great for walks. It's perfect if you want to spend a quiet break. I had my own room and there was always plenty to eat. If anything was missing, I could write it on a shopping list. Every week there was a list of all the tasks that needed to be done, and I could ask Belen anytime if I didn't know something. Most of the time I worked in the garden, which is absolutely impressive with its large trees, various plants and vegetable beds. I took care of all the plants in the different areas, watering them, oxygenating the soil and fertilising. I sowed new plants, raised them and created new beds. Sometimes I was also responsible for feeding and cleaning the chickens or horses. I was there for a little over two months and really enjoyed my time there. Thank you, Belen, for letting me stay with you, it was a pleasure!

I vam aprendre molt. Un lloc molt recomanable.

Corral de los Angeles is a magic place where syntropic garden and olives trees are growing in peace, surrounded by Alicante Province's mountains. I had the pleasure to meet Ruth and Avi, the owners of this garden of Eden, and other volunteers & visitors, all nature lovers. Its all about plants and veggies, quietness and mind-fullness. An experience that opens my eyes on plants symbiosis & water management. Will definitively come back if the opportunity shows up!!

My two week stay with Gerard and Maca was so beautiful. They have a really inspiring project and it was great to be apart of. Working with Gerard was lovely, we had fun doing the tasks of building a floor and planting/mulching a garden bed. I felt very welcome from the beginning and really enjoyed all of the meals that we shared together. There are also so many lush walking trails to follow and with a great companion - thaya! Looking forward to returning already :)

I stayed in Carmen’s house for ten days in December, and the experience was unforgettable. Everything is remarkable: the region, the house, and especially the garden. As my first woofing experience, it could not have been a better introduction and was deeply enriching on both a personal and human level. Carmen and Jason are generous, attentive, and kind. They make you feel at home from the very beginning, with great freedom in daily life, work rhythm, and rest days. This trust creates a strong sense of belonging, and they are always happy to share advice about the region. They generously share their knowledge of permaculture, gardening, trees, birds, and rural life through a wide variety of tasks, from garden care and composting to wood cutting and making compotes. I also took part in building a small stone terrace, which was particularly rewarding. Winter evenings were spent around the wood stove, sharing conversations, reading, or playing games. It is also an ideal place to improve one’s Spanish, as they are patient and supportive. I sincerely thank them for welcoming me and would return with great pleasure ;)
