Our family had 3 great weeks at Cantacucos. We discussed everything before arriving and the expectations were clear. We took care of our food and got invited many times by Rosa and her family to share their delicious meals. We felt very welcomed and were comfortable in our accommodation. We learned about plants, forest management, gardening, Spanish culture, and more. Violeta and Flori (their daughters) are just adorable and so talkative. Our children were included and enjoyed their stay. Ansur made sure we were always comfortable with the work he asked us to do. We wish him and Rosa great luck with their visions and would enjoy going again.

Dear Carmen and Jason, muchas Gracias for the wonderful stay at your home! I felt very welcomed from the beginning on. I learned so much about your garden, Spanish and I really liked the work. It’s a great stay and I would recommend it for everyone who wants to be a little bit in a calm and beautiful sourrounding, with hikes around and calm evenings for reading books or knitting. Times to times I cooked as well the meals, my work was various and I could say what I would like to do from a big list. So the time was flexible depending on needs. I’m excited to see how the garden blooms in spring sand summer! Muchas gracias por todo

Staying at Ella's was restorative and rejuvenating. The finca is gorgeous, the food is always delicious, and the joy is contagious. I enjoyed warm conversation and beautiful views every day. Ella planned small outings to get to know the area, and on weekends I ventured along the coast of Spain to nearby cities. Ella and the people I got to know at her finca will be lifelong friends. As a first-time wwoofer, I could not have asked for a better experience.

Merci! 😄

Yes I had a lovely time at Can Font. Lots of horses so lots of work mixed with plenty of free time. The stud farm is beautiful abounding with chickens . An orange grove and natural swimming pool. My room was comfortable and warm while it was cold. An outside shower with lashings of hot water. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Tomas and his family are wonderful hosts who welcomed me warmly into their home from the very beginning. During my stay, I learned so much about permaculture, local trees, the climate, as well as the region’s history and culture. The work rhythm is self paced, which allowed me to give my best while staying in great shape. I had the chance to plant locally sourced trees, improve the chickens’ comfort, reorganize material areas, and exchange ideas with Tomas about how his organization functions. I also met local farmers and other permaculture enthusiasts, which was truly inspiring. Beyond the work, there were many joyful moments: playing endless games of fetch with the dogs, playing video games with Tomas, playing the violin for the first time, spending time with the kids, and sharing many delicious meals. Special thanks to Ale and Giulia for the amazing food. There are a variety of interesting tasks suitable for different fitness levels, and the place itself is simply breathtaking thanks to the surrounding landscapes. I highly recommend staying with Tomas. This was my first Wwoofing experience, and it set the bar high. I hope to meet many more hosts like him in the future.

I had a really lovely time at Alquería de los Lentos. Cristoph and Rosan were welcoming and the room was very comfortable. We worked from roughly 9am to 2pm 5 days each week, mostly focused on using sheep and horse manure to fertilize the soil around the roughly 100 olives trees on the property above the hotel. I was there at the same time as one other WWOOFer, which definitely did seem to make the experience more fun and less tiring. Nigüelas has really nice views of rolling hills with wind turbines dotted around the landscape and nice sunsets most days. The stars and moon are bright at night because it’s relatively far from a major city. There is a restaurant/bar/local music venue a couple minutes from the Alquería by foot. One night there was a jam session there which Cristoph invited me to, and I got to play saxophone and talk with some other folks living in the area. It was nice to be welcomed into the community. There is a kitchen in the library area that is available almost anytime for cooking, and a grocery store (and gym) about 2-3km away with good prices. Occasionally you may have to move to a different accommodation on busy weekends when the hotel is full, so just be prepared for that. We stayed at a nearby house of a friend of Cristoph’s during that time. I definitely recommend Alquería de los Lentos to anyone looking for a peaceful WWOOF trip in Andalusia and/or looking to learn how a small local olive oil producer operates. Thanks Cristoph and Rosan!

I stayed with Edzard, Mélanie, Luna and one of their friends for two and a half weeks. They were all really friendly and I felt instantly welcomed. I enjoyed their company and their inspiring energy. During my stay, I collected and washed stones for a filter, did some collecting and cutting of some already cut down trees, collected donkey poop from the neighbour’s donkey Lola, started the project of making curtain railings and sewing curtains for the wooden cabin I stayed in and even got to learn about how to prune olive trees. Baking and doing the dishes was always well appreciated. There was a wide variety of tasks to choose from and they always made sure that I felt comfortable with the task and explained with a lot of patience. On the weekend I had the chance of cycling to the sea and they are really cooperative with picking you up if they are free. I also got to meet some of their friends. I really appreciate the time I was able to spend there. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing you again in the future! Thank you so much!
