The Eco-neighborhood is part of Valdepiélagos and it´s a COHOUSING PROJECT where 30 families live. All gardens are biological and some are permaculture. The houses are build in BIOCLIMATIC design and have several community activities like meals, workshops, parties, etc. We have TWO ROOMS FOR VOLUNTEERS. It This proposal is for the garden and the house of VICTOR. The house is shared with other people We are developing PERMACULTURE system, with several vegetables and 20 fruit trees. We often do YOGA and MEDITATION, an activity that volunteers can join. We speak a little ENGLISH and are happy to practice with you. The diet is VEGAN or VEGETARIAN, we live over 30 years on this diet, and are happy to talk about the health benefits and low ecological footprint on this diet. By seasons we do raw vegan diet, but volunteers are still allowed to cook. We usually eat all together. In summer we have enough figs, strawberries in spring and autumn apples, pears, almonds and walnuts. 70% are local and organic foods and some come from our garden. We do not plant for sale. Once a month we gather all ecovillagers who want to share a meal and volunteers are invited. At home there is NO TV . We have a LIBRARY accessible for volunteers. There is WIFI . It is also EASY TO MOVE TO MADRID with someone of the Ecovillage or the DAILY BUS. In the village (10 minutes walk) there are CAFES, a SUPERMARKET, other shops and a public library. When we attend parties and other gatherings of the Ecovillage at other homes, volunteers can come if they want. Sometimes we give workshops about nonviolent communication and ecovillage design. If it matches, the volunteers are invited to participate. In the area we have a complementary currency for barter(exchange) and monthly are barter markets also have a green consumer group to which we belong. The ongoing activities at the Cultural Center are at low prices; Latin dancing, etc. We have several WORKING GROUPS that you can enter. El Ecobarrio de Valdepiélagos, es un proyecto de cohousing donde viven 30 familias, todas las huertas son biológicas y algunas en permacultura, las casas son en bioconstrucción, con diseño bioclimático y tenemos algunas actividades comunitarias, comidas, grupos de trabajo, fiestas, etc. Esta propuesta es para la huerta de Víctor, la casa la comparte con otras personas. Nuestra huerta se desarrolla con el sistema de permacultura, tenemos 12 bancales para verduras y unos 30 frutales. Hacemos yoga y meditación con frecuencia, actividad a la que pueden sumarse los voluntarios. La dieta es vegana o vegetariana, llevamos más de 30 años con esta dieta, estaremos encantados de hablar sobre las ventajas en salud y la baja huella ecológica con esta alimentación, habitual en algunas ecoaldeas. Víctor es el responsable de la casa, a veces da talleres de comunicación noviolenta y diseño de ecoaldeas, si coincide con la estancia de voluntarios estarán invitados, si quieren participar. En casa no hay televisión. Disponemos de una biblioteca accesible para los voluntarios. Cuando asistamos a las fiestas y demás encuentros de la Ecoaldea en otras casas, los voluntarios podrán venir si así lo desean. En el pueblo a 10 minutos andando, hay cafeterías, supermercado, otras tiendas, Biblioteca Pública y actividades continuas en el Centro Cultural a bajo precio; bailes latinos, etc. En la zona tenemos una moneda complementaria para trueques y de vez en cuando se hacen mercadillos de trueque, También tenemos un grupo de consumo ecológico al que pertenecemos.
