Somos una familia de agricultores (Pep y Dolors y las hijas Marta, Laia y Helena)) dedicada principalmente al cultivo del avellano. Debido a nuestra preocupación por la salud de las personas y el planeta decidimos hacer la conversión de nuestra finca a cultivo ecológico, obteniendo la certificación en el año 2007. Nuestra explotación dispone de 23 has de avellanos, 6 de cereales, 2 de olivos, un pequeño huerto y unos pocos animales de corral (gallinas, pollos, conejos). También tenemos un pequeño obrador donde tostamos, elaboramos y envasamos nuestras avellanas que vendemos directamente. Con el objetivo de minimizar la huella de carbono utilizamos energías renovables tales como placas solares (térmicas y fotovoltaicas) y la biomasa producida a partir de los restos de poda de nuestros avellanos. También tenemos un establecimiento de agroturismo. Estamos situados en el pueblo de Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana, a 30 km de la ciudad de Barcelona, bien comunicado en bus. En el día a día hay muchas labores que necesitan ayuda como dar de comer a los animales, podar los avellanos, ayudar en el riego y gestión de los campos y el huerto y también la cosecha. Según las épocas del año y la meteorología los trabajos agrícolas se combinan con tareas en la finca como cuidar el jardín, ayudar en el agroturismo, hacer trabajos de limpieza y mantenimiento (pintura, carpintería...), cocinar... Son trabajos fáciles que no necesitan especialización, sólo sentido común. Sólo tenemos capacidad para un solo voluntario y ponemos a su disposición una habitación independiente con conexión WIFI y un lavabo en la casa, compartiendo con la familia la comida del mediodía y poniendo a su disposición comida suficiente para el desayuno y la cena. Due to our concern for the health of people and the planet, we decided to convert our farm to organic farming, obtaining certification in 2007. Our farm has 23 hectares of hazelnut trees, 6 of cereals, 2 of olive trees, a small orchard and a few farmyard animals (hens, chickens, rabbits). We also have a small workshop where we roast, process and pack our hazelnuts that we sell directly. With the aim of minimizing the carbon footprint, we use renewable energies such as solar panels (thermal and photovoltaic) and biomass produced from the pruning remains of our hazelnut trees. We also have an agrotourism accommodation We are located in the town of Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana, 30 km from the city of Barcelona, well connected by bus. In the day-to-day, there are many tasks that need help, such as feeding the animals, pruning the hazelnut trees, helping with the irrigation and management of the fields and also the harvest. Depending on the season and the weather, agricultural work is combined with tasks on the farm such as taking care of the garden, helping in the agrotourism, doing cleaning and maintenance work (painting, carpentry...), cooking... These are easy jobs. They don't need specialization, just common sense. We only have capacity for a single volunteer and we put at his disposal an independent room with WIFI connection and a bathroom in the house, sharing lunch with the family and providing him/her with enough food for breakfast and dinner.
