1. Describe tu proyecto, el lugar y sus habitantes (incluídos los animales): El Camino, es una pequeña finca ecológica, situada a 5 km de la costa y a 3 km de la población más cercana, San Antonio. Nos dedicamos al cultivo de flores de corte y hortalizas. La llevamos adelante dos amigas-socias, que empezamos este proyecto hace 6 años cuando coincidimos en un curso de agricultura ecológica. La zona de flor la gestionamos como cultivo artesanal de flor de corte, y también hacemos trabajo de diseño floral, cubriendo de esta forma toda las fases de en un concepto km0. La huerta esta trabajada en manera ecologica En la finca hay dos perros, dos gallinas, dos patos y una colmena de abejas. El Camino is a small ecological farm, located 5 km from the coast and 3 km from the nearest town, San Antonio. We are dedicated to the cultivation of cut flowers and vegetables. Two friends-partners run it, we started this project 6 years ago when we met in a course on organic farming. We manage the flower area as an artisanal crop of cut flowers, floral design work, this covering all the phases in a km0 concept. And the vegetable area is worked in ecological way On the farm there are dogs, two chickens, two ducks and a hive of bees. 2. Haz una lista de las actividades en las que participarán los WWOOFers y qué quieres enseñarles: Las tareas a realizar por los WWOOFers serían para acompañarnos en la faena diaria del huerto, preparación de tierras para cultivo, colocación de sistema de riego, plantación , entutorados, control de adventicias, cosecha de flores y verdura y su posterior limpieza. Nos gustaría compartir nuestra manera de vivir , y de trabajar la tierra , las cosas que hemos ido aprendiendo , que flores se combinan bien entre ellas, cuales son buenas en autosiembra, que estructura nos funciona mejor para el entutorado , esas pequeñas cosas que nos hacen avanzar...... Nos hace falta gente que sea independiente, mejor si fuese una pareja, así pueden hacer sus planes juntos. El clima es muy caluroso en verano, y el trabajo es en el campo, así que es un trabajo duro si no estas acostumbrado a ello. Las instalaciones son básicas, pero la de otro lado, viviríais en medio del campo, con el sonido de pájaros y el silencio a la noche. The tasks to be carried out by the WWOOFers would be to accompany us in the daily work of the orchard, preparation of land for cultivation, placement of an irrigation system, planting flowers and veggies, trellis, control of weeds, harvesting and their subsequent cleaning. We would like to share our way of living and working the land, the things we have been learning, which flowers combine well with each other, which ones are good for self-sowing, which structure works best for staking, those little things that make us move forward... We need somebody independent, better if it is a couple, so they can make plans together. The weather is very hot in summer, and the work is in the fields, so is quiet hard if you are not used to the work in the fields. The instalation is basic, but in the other hand you life in the middle of the countryside, with the sound of birds and the silence of night. 3. ¿Cómo sería el día de un WWOOFer en tu lugar (horario de participación en actividades, expectativas...)? La idea es trabajar juntos a la mañana, 5 horas con un descanso en medio para desayunar, después es buen momento para descansar , irte a la playa o a conocer la isla . Los sabados y domingos no se trabajaría. Ofrecemos -Alojamiento: una furgoneta WW T4, con cama. Cocina y ducha exterior (agua fria), nevera, WC seco. - Comidas: Damos cosas básicas, agua, aceite, pasta, arroz, café/te, verduras. Hay una cocinita donde puedes cocinar tu comida. Habla sobre tus propios intereses (música, cocina, etc.) y las posibilidades de los alrededores (senderismo, natación, etc.): La finca esta situada en la zona oeste de la isla, las playas de esta costa son pequeñas calas de agua cristalina, magnificas para nadar y hacer deportes de agua. Tenemos una bicicleta a disposición de los WWOOFers que te permitiría llegar a las playas cercanas o a San Antonio , población a 3km , donde hay autobuses a toda la isla. El clima es muy caluroso, así que la bicicleta hay que estar entrenado para poder circular con ella. Es muy buena idea alquilaros un coche para estar mas comodos. The farm is located in the west coast of the island, the beaches on this coast are small beaches with crystal clear water, magnificent for swimming and water sports.. We have a bicycle available to WWOOFers that would allow you to reach the nearby beaches or San Antonio, a town 3km away, where there are buses to the entire island. The weather is really hot, so for the use of bicycle you have to be used to it. It is agood ideas to rent a car so you will more confortable
