1. We are a Retreat Center open to anyone. Situated at 2000m high in the National Park of Sierra Nevada. We have various pieces of land in the mountains, but mainly two farm. In the main one we have over a 160 walnut trees, a lot of small fruits bushes, apples, pears, apricots and various other local fruit trees. 5 horses belong to the farm, but are free in the mountains and a resident donkey. 4 dogs, rather large, 3 cats, a dozen chickens and 2 ducks (we hope for more). First neighbour is at about 20km 2. Besides daily chores of feeding and tending the animals, when here, the activities are linked to the weather and the seasons. Prepping and maintaining the various cultivation (small fruits, fruits, medicinal herbs beds), pruning, cleaning the land and fire wood collecting. There is ample time for personal activities with the opportunities to do handicrafts, treks, bicycle tours etc... 3. We are lucky to live near the greenhouse of Europe. A lot of fresh vegetables and fruits available. We do a lot of bartering with the valley producers. Cooking is mainly vegetarian, with meat on occasion and when visits are here. Lodging is a 24sqm mezzanine, inside the main house. Wwoofers have the use of the kitchen and all facilities, food being provided. 4. We tend to live with the sun, so time is flexible around the year. We get up with the day, have breakfast together and then start the work. Around 11-11:30am we have a tea break. Around 1-1:30pm we prepare lunch that we have around 2pm. Then it's free time for all until the evening animal chores for about 30m depending on how many are here. This normally at sunset. Evenings are not worked. 5. We live at 2000m on the South face of Sierra Nevada, with views to the Atlas mountains in Morocco. A lot of walks available, two mountain bikes, a large water tank (inside 6 x 12 x 1.60m) that allows swimming, many handcrafts options, many books. We also have a temple open for yoga, meditation, reading. As any trip to the valley implies a 100km round journey we ask volunteers to commit for at least 4 weeks. 6. We do not offer WIFI but get a mobile card with data and access 5G, although fluctuating. 7. Following some unfortunate experience we do not allow smoking on the farm.
