Becoming an eco-village and healing nature location

Hi Wwoofers, welcome to Amaterra! We are Anke, Marion and Fidel with the kiddies Tao and Sol, a mix of German, Spanish and Argentinian and since August 2023 are living our dream to build up an eco-village out in the nature, becoming self-sufficient and supporting the environment with permaculture, food forest, bio-construction elements, meditation, environmental & health education, conscious life experiences, etc.. We love to create beauty, to make music and be happy, watching the stars next to a bonfire at night, eat tasty organic food, play with the kids, go for a walk with the horses in the mountains and think about how to best help & support nature, the earth and humanity. Amaterra is situated near the tiny but hugely romantic village called “Cervera del Maestre”, between Valencia and Barcelona, 30mins from the beach, and is surrounded by pure nature as long as you can see. There are a lot of ancient olive trees, also pinewoods, recently planted fruit trees, a lot of wild rosemary, fig & almond trees, around 10 hectares with a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains. What will you do during your stay? Depending on your interests and abilities there are a lot of hands-on activities! Here some of the current projects: - Growing the permaculture organic vegetable garden - Taking care of the animals (donkeys, horses, chicken, cats, dogs) - Harvesting olives (in October) and caring for the fruit treets - Planting the medicine herbal garden and starting with the food forest - Building bio-construction elements with stone, wood & clay (upcoming: human nests (accommodation), the clay oven and the bio-piscina (=natural swimmingpool) - Creating spaces for meditation, massage and educational pathways - Caring for the children or helping with the cooking - Producing organic edibles, incence sticks or cosmetics - Etc etc 😊 We are looking for open-minded, active people from around 30 years onward. As Amaterra is situated in a restricted forest reserve we can only take non-smoking wwoofers :-) And as we have dogs, chicken and other animals on the farm there are restrictions in case you want to bring an animal. Please get in contact before. For the humans: a caravan and big bell tents with beds inside are waiting for you. We already installed solar energy in the house, there is a hot shower, a washing machine and fairly good reception of mobile phone signal. Project- & working hours usually are 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon. Sunday is resting time for everybody, so please make sure not to arrive Sundays :-) To resume: don´t expect any luxury, but a very healthy & more than happy living out in the nature!
