Apicultura responsable y miel artesanal
Valdenueces – Agroecological Silvopastoral Farm in Sierra Morena
Valdenueces is more than a farm — it’s our home, our refuge, and the heart of the family project behind Andalucía Geographic. It is located in the Natural Park Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche (Sierra Morena), on a privileged hilltop with an impressive viewpoint overlooking endless Mediterranean forest.
Here, we practice an agroecological and silvopastoral model, where agriculture, livestock, and forest coexist in balance and mutual regeneration. The purpose of our activities is not profit, but to maintain and care for the land, honoring natural cycles and traditional ways of working.
🌱 Ecological production and self-sufficiency
Organic olive grove
Vineyard with traditional grafting and recovering local varieties
Seasonal vegetable garden
Sheep grazing and pasture management
🌳 Mediterranean forest stewardship
Pruning and maintaining the dehesa ecosystem
Cork extraction and acorn harvesting
🍯 Biodiversity conservation
Responsible beekeeping and artisanal honey
We also carry out activities to connect people with nature:
🥾 interpretative hiking routes
🚴 cycling tours along historical trails
🔭 stargazing under clean skies (Starlight destination)
🌿 environmental education and regenerative volunteer programs
But what truly makes Valdenueces special is the family who keeps it alive:
👨🏫 My father — a retired biology and geology teacher, a lifelong ecologist from whom I inherited my love and respect for nature.
👩👧👦 My sister with her kids — bringing joy, laughter and future to the project.
👩 My mother — always kind and ready to help anyone who arrives at the farm.
And I am a certified mountain guide and official tourism guide, committed to showing and protecting the landscapes that shaped me. Valdenueces is where everything makes sense: where ecology is not a concept, but a way of life.
Valdenueces means learning, growing, sharing — and giving back to the land that gives us everything.
It means returning to what really matters.
