We are a family of four. Jose, Jean, Flora and Luna. Jose is a carpenter and Jean works with renewable energy. We have two daughters 5 and 2 who love to sing, dance and play outdoors. We also have a few cats and often cows in our garden. We love to have visitors stay with us, share our culture, and listen to other stories. There is 7000m² and 3 houses, 2 small barns on our property. We already planted a few fruit trees, but are planning to plant a small eco vineyard and some avocado trees with the land, as well as some eco-living places. Only 1 house is finalized and ready to live in with heat pump. The other 2 houses are being slowly rebuild. Jose is doing much of the building and carpentry of the houses. Jean is building the fences and starting up the garden. Your work would depend on your field of interest - from preparing the land, gardening to wall building. We mostly work mornings for 4 - 4,5 hours, usually 6 days a week - but that is adjustable also with the weather or an important plan on your end. There is room to stay for 1-3+ people (1 bedroom for 2 people; 1 bedroom for 1 person ). We have additionally mattresses and can also offer a tent. The hosting area is separated from the family area to also have some private rest. We are vegetarian and source most supplies from an eco farm close by. Breakfast and sometimes lunch during the week, you will have in your own area with all supplies from us. Sometimes lunch and most dinners would be shared with all and also external friends as we like to invite people over. During the afternoon and free days its up to all of our plans - you have your time off or sometimes we will invite you out or gather in the garden. We live in San Mames de Meruelo with views across the valley. The beaches of Ajo, Noja and Berria (surf, swim, sunbath) are between 10-15 min drive. We have a lot of bikes, which you are always free to use. Hiking is possible all around, higher mountains are also 15-20 min drive. Bigger cities of Santander and Bilbao are 40-60min drive. A nice excursion could be a 40 min bike ride to Somo and a beautiful 30 min ferry ride to Santander. If you have a drivers license we could also lend you the car in exceptions. We love cooking, music and our girls love to bring on the show with concerts and dancing. Somos una familia de cuatro: José, Jean, Flora y Luna. José es carpintero y Jean trabaja con las energías renovables. Tenemos dos hijas de 5 y 2 años. A Flora y Luna les encanta cantar, bailar y jugar al aire libre. También tenemos algunos gatos y, a menudo, vacas en el terreno. Nos encanta recibir visitas, compartir nuestra cultura y escuchar otras historias. Nuestra propiedad cuenta con 7000 m², 3 casas y 2 silos. Ya hemos plantado algunos arboles frutales y queremos plantar aguacates y vino ecológico con el terreno. Solo una casa está terminada para vivir. Las otras dos se están reconstruyendo lentamente. José se encarga de gran parte de la construcción y la carpintería de las casas. Jean construye las cercas y empieza a trabajar en el jardín. Tu trabajo dependerá de tu área de interés: desde la preparación del terreno y la jardinería hasta la construcción de muros. Hay espacio para alojar de 1 a 3 personas mas ninos (2 habitaciones con baño propio). El área de alojamiento está separada del área familiar para que también puedan descansar en privado. Somos vegetarianos y nos abastecemos principalmente de una granja ecológica cercana. Durante la semana, desayunarán y algunos dias comeran en su propia área con todos los suministros proporcionados por nosotros. Algunas comidas y la cena se compartirá con todos y también con amigos externos, ya que nos gusta invitar a gente. Las tardes y los dias de descanso, todo depende de nuestros planes. Vivimos en San Mamés de Meruelo con vistas al valle. Las playas de Ajo, Noja y Berria (para surfear, nadar y tomar el sol) están a unos 10-15 minutos en coche, y podemos prestarte una moto o una bicicleta. Se puede hacer senderismo por los alrededores; las montañas más altas también están a 15-20 minutos en coche. Las ciudades más grandes, Santander y Bilbao, están a 40-60 minutos en coche. Si tienes carnet de conducir, también puedes alquilar nuestro coche. Nos encanta cocinar, la música y a nuestras chicas les encanta animar con conciertos y baile.
