We are Antonio and Harm, a couple living in the countryside of Carcaixent, south of Valencia. Together we are building Campo Tucán, an eco-farm focused on sustainability, community and creativity. Our land is 38,000 m², surrounded by citrus groves and native plants. At the heart of our project is a vision of harmony with nature: we are creating a space where people can enjoy slow living, ecological practices, and cultural exchange. Besides farming and gardening, we also enjoy sharing music and arts in our free time. Our place is LGBTQ+ friendly and open to everyone who shares values of respect, inclusivity and care for the environment. Our main agricultural activities are focused on organic gardening, citrus care, and land maintenance. Depending on the season, this can mean: planting and watering vegetables, herbs, and fruit trees pruning and caring for citrus trees weeding and mulching to keep the land healthy helping with composting and other ecological practices maintaining paths, irrigation systems, and outdoor spaces We would love to share our knowledge about sustainable farming, Mediterranean plants, water-saving techniques, and permaculture-inspired ideas. A typical day with us starts after breakfast, with a few hours of outdoor work in the morning (to avoid the strongest sun). We usually have lunch together around 14:00. In the afternoon, there may be lighter tasks or free time to relax, read, or explore the area. Evenings are often calm and social – sometimes we cook together, enjoy music, or just watch the sunset over the orange groves. WWOOFers stay in a comfortable private room. The rooms are simple but cozy, with good beds, fresh sheets, and access to bathrooms with hot showers. We also have plenty of outdoor space to relax – terraces, hammocks, and beautiful views over the orange fields. Meals are an important part of life at Campo Tucán. We provide three healthy meals a day, made with fresh local products and vegetables from our own garden when possible. Our cooking is Mediterranean-inspired, often vegetarian, but we also enjoy preparing dishes with fish or meat from trusted local producers. We are happy to adapt to dietary preferences or restrictions if you let us know in advance. Meals are usually shared together, as we love to cook, eat, and exchange stories around the table. We love music, cooking, and cultural projects. Antonio plays percussion and Harm enjoys experimenting with local and seasonal recipes. Together we like to host creative workshops, enjoy live music, and share our passion for sustainable living. The area around Campo Tucán is perfect for outdoor activities. You can walk or bike through citrus groves, explore small villages, or enjoy the nearby rivers and natural spots. The Mediterranean coast is just a short drive away, with beautiful beaches for swimming and relaxing. There are also local markets, historic towns, and cultural events to discover in the Ribera region. P.S.:We’re receiving a lot of requests right now, so replies may take a little longer than usual. Thanks for your patience!
