Small finca in Granada province of mostly olive and orange trees. Aiming to become fully organic!

Hello WWOOFers, my name name is Fionn and I am a 39 year old British guy that has recently acquired a small finca/farm in a village called Restábal in the Lecrín Valley. 30 mins from Granada and 30 mins from beaches. It's not a commercial farm, just provides a very small amount of income but more importantly fantastic produce and an amazing outdoor lifestyle under the Andalucian sun ☀️ We have mostly olive and orange trees but also a few lemon, grapefruit, almond etc. The previous owner used non-organic fertilizer, herbicides and non-regenerative methods. I am determined to change that and set out on the path to becoming fully organic! We have a four bedroom air-conditioned house, and only one bedroom is occupied, but I'd like to cap it at having two WWOOFers max. You will have your own bathroom, a double bed, and access to a 20 metre pool and stunning landscaped gardens. I will be there most of the time, and my wife will come and go (she needs to be in the UK for some of the time) We have two gorgeous cats who are just a joy 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛ Activities would include: - Building and managing compost - Making biochar and implementing it around the finca - Pruning and de-weeding - Occasionally harvesting fruit/olives 🫒🍊 - Helping design and build a vegetable garden - Learning and researching together with myself about other permaculture-based regenerative methods. I am far from an expert but learning every day and passionate about all these topics. You should be too - Using the produce in creative ways in the kitchen. I'm thinking marmalades, limoncello, desserts, or even natural cleaning products with the lemons or homemade soap with the olive oil. I am open to ideas 💡 Usually you will be expected to make your own breakfasts and lunches using food that I provide. There will be plenty of variety, for example at breakfast think porridge, cereal, toast, eggs, fruit etc. But I am also happy to cook for us all at times, especially at dinner times. People who are interested in a healthy lifestyle and fellow 'foodies' will be most suited! It's not a prerequisite that you are vegetarian, vegan etc but just so you know, I am a pescatarian. Mostly eat whole foods and lots of fruit and veg 🥑🍅 You will have a private room in the main house, with your own bathroom. Of course there's WiFi and air-conditioning. You can either share the main kitchen or can also use the very small kitchen in the pool house if more privacy is desired We live in a small rural village in the Lecrín Valley. Within 4 mins walk you will have two bars, a small shop and a pharmacy. Not much, but enough for day to day. I have a car and can give occasional lifts to bigger supermarkets etc but it is recommended that you are somewhat independent and either can use a bike to get around or use buses. We have beautiful nature on our doorstep, so hiking, swimming, skiing in winter in the Sierra Nevada. I do all of those things plus play football once a week, in a mixed-nationality, friendly group, which you are welcome to get involved in too! I also love going to see live music 🎶 and have recently bought a handpan that I need to learn how to play! I am focused on improving my Spanish and expanding my social circle - we only moved here in November 2025 so it's all pretty new! But lived in Mallorca for two years before that so speak reasonable Spanish Aunque soy inglés, he vivido 2.5 años en España y no me importa hablar en español tampoco. Así que también aceptaría a hispanohablantes. Pero es importante que hables inglés o español a un buen nivel 🇬🇧🇪🇸
